Shock absorbers are critical components of a truck's suspension system. Not only do they absorb rough road impacts, but they reduce vibrations from potholes and uneven surfaces making it easier to brake and safer to move freely on long-haul trips.
This Match Made shock absorber is designed to fit multiple heavy-duty applications including Peterbilt cab and PowerPacker cab vehicles. This heavy-duty replacement truck shock with a metal dust tube and recoil cut-off features a chrome plated piston rod that protects against corrosion, extending the life of the shock, and a square groove PTFE piston seal for low friction and increased driving performance. It also contains a specially designed STOP control component to prevent rod punctures and valve damage. This aftermarket shock has a proprietary bushing formulation proven to outlast other brands tested and are produced with unique oil seal design to control loss of shock oil and nitrogen gas charge. Upper and lower valve packages are made from 100% disk technology. It contains a 738 pound rebound and 350 pound compression. Its bore size measures 1.375 inches (1 3/8 inches) and its stroke size measures 3.39 inches. Additionally, its compressed length measures 8.58 inches and its extended length measures 11.97 inches.
