However, spring brakes also contain a piggyback chamber that applies the emergency/parking brakes. It's built with a world class flexible diaphragm that operates even in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Within this spring brake is a double O-ring center seal and a self-piloting dust shield that extends the seal and the actuator life. This specific actuator has size T36/36 brake chambers with a pushrod length of 9 inches. Its stroke size comes in at 3 inches and it's classified as a long stroke brake chamber.
